We are offering COVID-19 testing for both members and non-members by appointment during office hours. Please contact us to schedule.

Other testing options:

  • Urgent Care and Free-standing ER’s: Most urgent cares and free-standing ER’s can test for COVID-19 and are usually open on the weekends/open late.

  • Ellis County/Ferris infusion center: Testing available onsite Monday-Friday (hours may vary). 514 Marble Street, Ferris, TX 75125

  • Pharmacies: Many pharmacies have drive thru options for testing (such as CVS, Walgreens, etc) (hours may vary)

  • Drive thru and mobile testing:

Monoclonal Antibody Infusion

The Satrovimab antibody infusion appears to be more effective against the current predominant Omicron variant. You can register for an infusion at the Ellis County/Ferris Infusion Center here (hours and availability may vary: https://mdlabtx.com/

The criteria for the infusion that most locations are using is as follows:

  • Diagnosed with a positive COVID-19 test

  • Have symptoms with onset less than 10 days

  • Meet one or more of the high risk eligibility requirement:

    • 65 years or older

    • Pregnancy

    • Heart conditions (heart failure, coronary artery disease, hypertension)

    • Chronic kidney disease

    • Immunosuppressant treatment

    • Medical device dependent

    • Obesity or Overweight

    • Diabetes

    • Chronic lung disease

    • Sickle Cell disease

    • Neurodevelopmental disorder

Please note that a new prescription anti-viral medication, Paxlovid, has recently been approved by the FDA for treatment of COVID-19. You should discuss with your doctor if this medication is right for you.

Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines (Updated 12/29/21)

If you test positive for COVID-19:

  • You should isolate for 5 days from the start of symptoms. If you have no symptoms and no fever after 5 days, you can come out of isolation but should wear a mask around others for 5 additional days. If you have had an exposure to COVID-19:

  • Quarantine guidelines vary based on vaccination status:

    • If you are boosted OR completed the primary series of Pfizer or Moderna within the last 6 months OR Completed the primary series of J&J vaccine within the last 2 months: Per the CDC: Wear a mask around others for 10 days.     • For unvaccinated patients (or those who completed Pfizer or Moderna series > 6 months ago and are not boosted OR Completed J&J > 2 months ago and are not boosted): Quarantine/stay home for 5 days. After that continue to wear a mask around others for 5 additional days. Test on day 5 if possible.
